The beginning…

In the mid 1990's, the founder of GKY Group, MrGoh Koon Yeow established GKY Machinery Trading, a partnership entity for the sales and distribution of new, used and reconditioned forklift trucks.

In 1997, the partnership was incorporated as a private limited company – GKY Machinery (M) Sdn. Bhd. The operation location is in Mount Austin, Johor Bahru.

In 2002,as the company continued to grow, a need for more space was soon realized. The Tebrau Industrial Estate area was searched for the appropriate location to meet the company's needs. In view of that, GKY acquired and moved to a one acre factory building in Tebrau Industrial Estate, one of the most established industrial estates in Johor Bahru.

GKY Kuala Lumpur Branch

Rapid growth...

In year 2005, GKY has observed that the market volume in the Malaysia capital city, Kuala Lumpur and Klang valley is very much larger than Johor Bahru. Owing to this, the business was further expanded with the opening of its KL Branch a strategic location which has an easy access to both areas.

Each department is under the supervision of a Departmental Manager. The total work force as in 2012June is 77 people, which inclusive of 13 managers, 13 executive staffs, 35 employees and 12 foreign workers.

In 2007, GKY Machinery merged and invested their global operations with Boon Koon Group.

In 2009, due to the growing business, GKY expanded to the Southern Region and opened their PG Branch.

2012-Present:

GKY is currently exporting its products in different regions all over the world, having approximately 20 international accounts, exporting more than 1000 units of forklift trucks per year.

Due to our competitive advantages in the global market, our international business is growing fast since year 2003.
