The Past...

In the mid 1990’s, the founder of GKY Group, Mr.Goh Koon Yeow established GKY Machinery Trading, a partnership entity for the sales and distribution of new, used and reconditioned forklift trucks. In 1997, the partnership was incorporated as a private limited company – GKY Machinery (M) Sdn.Bhd.

In the year 2002, in view of space constraint in Mount Austin Industrial Park, GKY has acquired and moved to a one acre factory building in Tebrau Industrial Estate, one of the most established industrial estates in Johor Bahru to build an ultra-modern showroom, workshop and office, all under one roof.

GKY’s current Head Office at Tebrau Industrial Park with land area covering approximately 46000 square feet	GKY acquired another factory lot next to the existing head office . By linking two factory lots, the total land area is approximately two acres.

The Future...

The Group is continually expanding its network of dealers both domestically and internationally. The Group is also looking to further strengthen its reputation as a one-stop hypermarket for forklift.

The Group also intends, with Japanese collaboration, to move upstream with manufacturing and fabrication of parts that can be competitive in the international market. The Group is actually looking to establish strategic alliances with manufacturers in the ASEAN countries, which have sustainable competitive advantages in manufacturing of forklift parts and related products.

At GKY, we are constantly seeking new businesses and opportunities both in Malaysia and worldwide, not just in forklift/reach truck parts but it related and complementary areas where the Group can capitalize on its expertise and knowledge.
